Active Inventory Viewer: Setup

Option Setup

To use the Active Inventory Viewer, set option 1096 “Compass Viewers on System” to Yes in Options Configuration.

Security Setup

The ability to add, change or delete items in the Active Inventory Viewer are the same as the Inventory application’s security.  

• Bit 120 "Change Inventory items on Load tab of IMU and also Active Viewer" (if this bit is set to no, CHANGE is disabled in the Viewer)
• Bit 121 "Add Inventory items on Load tab of IMU and also Active Viewer" (if this bit is set to no, ADD is disabled in the Viewer)
• Bit 122 "Delete Inventory items on Load tab of IMU and also Active Viewer" (if this bit is set to no, DELETE is disabled in the Viewer)

Favorites Setup

To have the ability to launch the Active Inventory Viewer, you must first add it to your Favorites in the Inventory application, as follows:

1. Display the Inventory Maintenance window.
2. Click File, Configure, Customize Ribbon and Favorites.

3. Under Favorites, in the Available Actions box, scroll down and click Active Inventory Viewer, then click the arrow pointing to the right. The entry moves to the “Appears in Favorites” box.

4. Click Change (F5).
