Printing Plans Setup

An Epicor representative must enable option 7732 “Printing Plans on System.”

For a standard POS Terminal (Central Order Desk NOT enabled), Printing Plans may be applied through option 7734 “Print Delivery Instructions or Custom Printing Plan” to the system, to each store, or by terminal. Printing plans applied to customers through Customer Maintenance (MCR) take precedence over the Printing Plan assigned in option 7734 If no Printing Plan is assigned to the customer or through option 7734, the setting in Device Configuration applies. 

For POS terminals operating with Central Order Desk enabled, customer-level and option 7734 Printing Plans are ignored. These terminals must havePrinting Plans applied to stores through Device Configuration –> Central Order Desk Printer Maintenance. If no Printing Plan is assigned to a store, the Device Configuration default printer is used.

Creating Printing Plans

  1. Display the Device Configuration window.
  2. Click Misc, and select P – Printing Plan Maintenance.
  3. Click Add to open the Add Printing Plan dialog.
  4. Enter the following information about the Printing Plan:
  1. Click OK to save and open the Maintain Printing Plan Entries dialog.

  2. Click Add to open the Maintain Printing Plan Entry 1 dialog.

  1. Repeat step 7 for as many entries as needed.
  2. Click Done to return to the Printing Plan Maintenance dialog.

Apply a Printing Plan to a Customer

  1. Display the Customer Maintenance window.
  2. Enter the customer number and click Display.
  3. Click the POS link on the Main tab next to Standard Sell Price to open the Maintain POS Information dialog.
  4. Select the printing plan from the Printing Plan drop down list, then click OK to close the dialog and return to the Main tab.
  5. Click Change to save the Maintain POS Information dialog settings.

Applying a Printing Plan to Option 7734

  1. Display the Options Configuration window.
  2. Click ID, enter 7734, and press Enter. The option “Print Delivery Instructions or Custom Printing Plan?" displays.
  3. Use the Current Value drop-down to select the desired print plan.
  4. Click Change (F5) to save the change.
  5. To change the “Kept By” setting, with option 7734 highlighted, click Misc and select K–Change Highlighted ‘Kept By’ from …”, change to the desired setting, and click OK.

Applying Printing Plans to Central Order Desk Stores

  1. From the Eagle Browser, click Utilities. From the list that displays, click Device Configuration to open the window. Alternatively type “DEVCFG” in the Eagle Browser Launch bar, and press Enter.
  2. Click Misc, and select D – Central Order Desk Printer Maintenance.
  3. Highlight the desired Type 1 Printing Plan, select the store to be assigned to the printing plan, and click Change. The store assignment should now show in the list of print plans.
  4. Repeat step 3 for as many entries as needed.
  5. Select Done to close the dialog.
