The following explains the changes to the Epicor Eagle™ Inventory for Windows software on level 24.1845.25 (Eagle for Windows level 11.0890.22). For additional information about a particular enhancement listed below, click on the blue underlined text associated with it. To return to this page, click the Back button.
The following enhancements have been made to the Item Price Change window:
When pasting a price from one column to another, you can now specify a destination column. Before this enhancement, the value in the cell you selected always pasted into the item’s New Retail. The destination column you specify stays in effect until you either switch back to the Edit Mode, or exit the window.
You can move the entire contents of one column into another column. From the Misc Menu, select "Copy Column." Then enter the Source Price (the ’from’ column) and the Destination Price (the ’to’ column).
Order Multiple and Standard Pack are now available as columns in the Item Price Change grid.
To make setting up auto-fill information for Tally 2 items easier, the fields QOH, QOO, FOQ, and Committed Qty have been added to the Tally Cross-Reference grid (MTL).
UPC Maintenance is now presented in a grid format so you can see all UPCs associated with an item. In the grid you can quickly and easily add, change, or delete UPCs.
The Item Sales History Viewer, accessible from the GoTo menu of Inventory Maintenance, now displays the following information:
Item sales unit history for last year, and promotion history units for this year.
A "hot" field called "Select Columns" which allows you to hide any of the columns in the grid.
A checkbox on each row in the grid, allowing you to hide a row by simply clicking its checkbox .
You can now create, save, and recall Custom SKU Lists in the Inventory Viewer. You can even add individual items to SKU lists, which allows you to create a list of items that would not otherwise display using traditional viewer lookup methods. By Saving frequently-used lists of SKUs, you can save lookup time at POS. Custom SKU Lists can also be used as PO templates: you can enter order quantities for items in the list, and then simply click Select to paste those order quantities into a purchase order.
The following fields have been added to the Inventory Viewer: Catalog Page #, Secondary Vendor, PUR U/M, Promo Price, New Order Quantity, Minimum Order Point, Safety Stock, Max Stock Level, Seasonal Sales Code, Mfg Cost, To Date Sales, YTD Transactions, YTD Cost Dollars (Avg), Ytd Cost Dollars (Repl), Last Year Sales Units, Last Year Sales $, Last Year Cost $ (Avg), Last Year Cost $ (Repl), Last Year Promo Units, Sales Units 14-26, and Expanded User Codes.
"Delete Price Changes older than __ days (used with Opt F)" is a new field in the Price Change Report (RPC) window. This field defaults to 14, which is the number of days that the system formerly used when deleting old price changes from the Price Change file. With this new field, you can decide when and if you want to delete old price changes. Set this field to 99 if you never want to delete old price changes. This field only applies to Price changes that are outside of the from/to range specified on the report.
The Modify Item Promotions (MIP) window has been enhanced to include the following features:
You can add items to the grid without having to add them to the Promotion File, allowing you to make "what if" modifications to items.
The Inventory Viewer is now accessible from the Promotion File, making it quick and easy to find the items you want and then paste them into the Promotion File.
Many additional columns have been added to the Modify Item Promotions window, including: In Promotion-File, Des GP%, Old-Retail-Price, Old Repl Cost, Avg-Cost, Repl-Cost, Mfg-Vendor, Mfg-Cost, Market-Cost, Matrix prices 1-5, List Price, Quantity on Order, Popularity, Location, Fineline, Sequence Number, Mfg Part Number, Order-Multiple, Std-Pk, and User Codes 1– 4.
(Windows Labels users only) The following enhancements have been made to the Windows Labels application:
You can print images on labels. You can set up a generic image that prints on all labels (for example, your store logo), or you can print item-specific images.
You can rotate fields on a label by a specified number of degees. For example, entering 90 or -90 will print the field vertically instead of horizontally.
You can access the Label application directly from the Eagle Browser. Simply select Label Design and Printing Menu, and then make a selection from the menu.
This release of Epicor Eagle™ software increases the field length of a number of fields in Inventory. Although you will not see the larger fields in Inventory until a future software release, you need to be aware of the following:
If you use Transoft, which is an interface between your Eagle and a third-party ODBC application, some field sizes will now be larger. Check your ODBC application to verify that the data is coming across as you expect it.
Request (RQ) users: Once you’ve installed the new software, you must run a utility called RQFORMAT if you have existing routines in the Inventory or Inventory/Point of Sale dictionaries that include any quantity or price fields. This utility adds formatting commands to existing procedures so the enlarged fields retain their original default size. Fields that already have special formatting will not be changed. If this utility is not run, fields could overlap or run off the page. (Note: If you want to view or print a list of field sizes, select a database category, select Utilities, and select Review. Then follow the prompts on the screen.)
Do the following to run RQFORMAT. Before you begin, be sure that no one is currently using RQ.
From the Network Access Main Menu of any terminal, type OSPREY and press <Enter>. then type AVATAR and press <Enter> (Eagle for Windows users: you must use the Network Access Main Menu to perform this procedure).
At Selection, type RQFORMAT and press <Enter>.
At "All Procedures or Single?" type an A to reformat all affected RQ routines, or type an S to reformat a single routine.
At "Procedure Name," enter the name of the single routine you want to reformat if you entered S in step 3. If you entered A in step 3, press <Enter> to leave this field blank.
At "Action," type an E and press <Enter>.
When prompted to "Press Return to continue," press <Enter>.
Press <End> to exit.
Note: a log file reports the results of the RQFORMAT utility. To view the log, type SHOWLOG from the Function prompt, down-arrow to the Conversion Log, and press <Enter>. If other information exists in the log, you’ll need to go to the end to view the RQFORMAT information.
The option "Give warning if deleting an item that has any quantity > 0" has been added to the Options Configuration window. If this option is set to Yes, the system checks the item’s Qty-on-Hand, Committed Qty, Qty on Order, and Future Order fields, and if any of these fields is greater than zero, you’ll receive the following message when attempting to delete the item: "SKU has one or more quantities greater than 0. Are you sure you want to delete?" If the item is being deleted from more than one store, the system checks these fields in all relevant stores.
