Fixed Order Quantity.
This field on the Stocking tab of Inventory Maintenance is used by the Purchasing and Receiving application. If you enter a value in this field, and the Quantity on Hand falls below the Order Pt, then the system will order the quantity in this field. In other words, you are telling the system to order the exact amount in this field, rather than just ordering enough to bring the Quantity on Hand up to the Order Point. The purpose of this field is to allow you to order certain items at the most economical order quantity.
