Extended Description Group code.
This field is required.
Use this field on the Codes tab of Inventory Maintenance to enter your code for the Extended Description Group. If you access this screen from Inventory Maintenance, the field defaults to the SKU number you displayed in Inventory Maintenance.
If the extended description message is for a specific SKU, use the SKU number as the extended description group code. If the extended description message is for a group of SKUs, enter a descriptive code that represents that group.
For example: You want to create a message that reminds your clerks at POS to check inside tool boxes for additional merchandise. Enter TOOLBOX as the code for this message.
