This field is on the Codes tab of Inventory Maintenance. Click the Additional Codes Flags hyperlink to access this field.
Y = “Yes, post with .00 price without NO CHARGE comment.” When the item is sold in POS, it will be posted with a price and extension of .00, even if the item has a price. This field has the same functionality as if you had posted the item in POS using the Misc Menu’s ”Sell item at no charge” capability. Note: items with this field set to Yes will not post the ”NO CHARGE” descriptor line, as using the POS Misc Menu option does.
Z = Yes, post with .00 price and NO CHARGE comment.” The item will automatically post with a price of .00 and will post a “NO CHARGE” comment line beneath the item.
