This field on the Codes tab of Inventory Maintenance is the special code for this item. You can use the code to include or exclude this item on reports.
For example: You may want to assign special codes for the following types of items:
special order
fast mover/high turn rate
slow mover/low turn rate
high gross margin
low gross margin
Each of the four positions is independent of the other positions. For example, A _ _ _ is not the same as _ A _ _.
This field is alphanumeric. You can enter a combination of up to four numbers and letters. If you need additional user code positions, use the Expanded Codes fields in Inventory Maintenance, the Codes tab.
