This field on the History tab of Inventory Maintenance is the gross profit percent you have made on this item so far this fiscal year. POS updates this field. The system uses the following calculation.
YTD Sales $ - YTD Replce Cost $ (or YTD Avg Cost $)

YTD Sales $
Then the system multiplies the result by 100 to determine the gross profit percent.
Note: The Cost Used In Calculations field in Options Configuration (or Function MIC) determines which cost the system uses.
