The system uses this field in Inventory Maintenance to search for and print items. You can also use this field to sequence items so they print in a certain order for price books, catalogs, and so on. If you leave this field blank when adding items, the system fills it in with the SKU.
This field is alphanumeric. You can enter up to 14 numbers and letters.
