Enter the effective date of the price changes. This is the suggested date when the price changes should take effect. Enter the date in MMDDYY format.
For example, enter an effective date of April 6, 2001 as 040601. The system does not automatically change the prices in the Inventory File when this date is reached. You must run the Price Change Report (RPC) with Option F to finalize the price changes and update the Inventory File.
Later, you can use this date as a reference when running other Price Change Reports. In the From and To Date Effective field on the From/To page, enter this date to select specific price change records in the Price Change File.
If you are adding RPC to a queue, you can leave the Date Effective field blank on the PC Option 4 page.
