Use this Inventory option in Options Configuration to specify the minimum gross profit percentage that you want for your store. This field sets the default for the Standard Gross Profit % field in the Department Maintenance window, if it is left blank when adding new departments.
Multistore: This field works with the Keep Prices The Same In All Stores? field. If Keep Prices The Same In All Stores? is Y, the percentage you enter here will always be the default for the Desired GP% field in Inventory Maintenance, the Pricing tab. If Keep Prices The Same In All Stores? is N, the Desired GP% will default to the Standard Gross Profit % field in the Department Maintenance window.
This field is numeric. You can enter four numbers plus a decimal point. For example, enter 99.99%.
