(ID#1723) If you have your own local loyalty program (Option 1182 Loyalty Program is L or G) you can set this option to Yes to give your loyalty customers the ability to link the transaction to their loyalty account by entering their phone # on the PIN Pad. By using this option, the consumer doesn’t have to expose the phone number and the cashier doesn’t have to look up the customer’s account.
To use this feature you must set up the following options:
Option 1182 Loyalty Program = L or G
Option 1723 Prompt for Loyalty Account on PIN Pad = Yes
Option 1724 Loyalty Account lookup confirmation on PIN Pad = Email Address or Street Address
Option 1747 Loyalty Account PIN Pad lookup applies to accounts without Loyalty # = Yes or No
Option 5010 Change customer when entering loyalty # at end of transaction = C (Change Customer)
Option 140 POS Link Window = Y (on demand only) – we recommend setting this option to Y since the PIN Pad will ask the customer for their phone number, hence the clerk no longer needs to enter/scan the loyalty ID.
Ingenico isc 250, RBA 17.01 and above
After posting the first item, the PIN pad will prompt for Loyalty Account Phone Number which will remain displayed for 30 seconds. During this time, the consumer can input their phone # while the cashier continues to scan/post items. Once all items have been posted and the cashier presses <Total>, the PIN pad will prompt user to verify either their email address or street address from MCR. When the consumer confirms with <OK> the POS transaction changes to the customer number linked to the phone number.
This feature also works in Offline POS.
