Whenever you transmit to True Value, you should verify the transmission was successful by checking in the Async Message Log (ASYMSG).
From the Eagle Browser, type ASYMSG in the Launch bar, and press Enter. The Async Message Log displays. Note that this log accumulates transmission information each day. The system clears the transmission information each night when it reboots.
Press Next (F7) (you may have to press it numerous times if you have done a lot of transmitting today) to scroll down to the end of the Log.
Look in the right-hand column to find the result of the transmission.
"Successful Transmission" means you successfully received the information you requested.
"Unsuccessful Transmission" means that while you made contact with True Value's computer, you did not receive the information you requested. This error typically means the sequence number in Function COTUTL was not set up properly. Call True Value at 800-828-3658 for the proper sequence number.
"Transmission Failed" means that your computer did not make contact with True Value's computer. There should be an error code listed. When you call Epicor Software Corporation™ for assistance, tell them the error code you received.
The message "MCS Transmission Succeeded," does not necessarily indicate that you successfully downloaded the information you requested. This message merely indicates that your computer and True Value's computer made contact successfully. Look a few lines below this message and you will see either "Successful Transmission" or "Unsuccessful Transmission."
