Using Views Overview

A view is a saved setting that displays selected columns of item information in a grid. You can use grids to display, sort, and filter information.

The system has both "Standard" and "High Capacity" grid functionality available. By default, your system uses Standard grid functionality. High Capacity grids load more rows than Standard grids, and they have other unique features, such as allowing you to lock columns. To learn more about High-Capacity grids, click here.

The following is an example of a view and grid:

You have many options for working with the information that displays in the columns on the grid. For example, you can hide columns so that they do not display, sort the information in a column, calculate totals and averages, and create and save your own custom view.

The total number of records that can be loaded into a grid is 16,000 (unless you use High-Capacity grids, which can load 100,000 records). When an entire grid is loaded, one warning message will display. This warning message displays after 200 records are loaded. You then have the following options:
