Setting Up In-Store Gift Cards Security

The following security bits are used with the In-Store Gift Card application. These bits are only available if the application has been activated by the Epicor Licensing Department. For more information about setting up security, click here.

Bit 669 "Gift/Cash card activation in WinPOS allowed." This bit determines whether a clerk can access the Gift Card Maintenance menu in POS.

Bit 672 "Allow gift card cash-out greater than threshold."

Bit 758 "(MO)Gift/Cash Card - ability to cancel out of gift card activation."

Bit 873 "Ability to Access the Gift Cards Viewer. " This bit determines if you have access to the Gift Cards Viewer. This is an access and view only security bit.

Bit 874 "Ability to Change and Delete In-Store Gift Cards." This bit determines if you have the ability to change or delete in-store gift card records from the Gift Cards Viewer. This security bit also requires security bit 873 "Ability to access the Gift Cards Viewer."

Bit 875 "Ability to Run Gift Card Surcharge Calculation Utility." This bit determines if you have the ability to run the utility to calculate surcharges on inactive gift cards. The utility is run from the Misc Menu of the Gift Cards Viewer. This security bit also requires security bit 873, "Ability to Access the Gift Cards Viewer."
