This procedure assumes you have already completed the Fingerprint Reader setup. Signing on using a Fingerprint reader is available from the terminal signon dialog, from the POS signon dialog, and from the POS manager override dialog. This device is also supported in TimeClock's Clock In and Clock Out from the Eagle Browser.
When prompted for user and password in any of the dialogs shown below, simply place your finger in the fingerprint reader. The system finds the user name and password assigned to the fingerprint, and automatically enters the user name/password and automatically presses OK.
If option 2303 “POS 2.0 Biometric Fingerprint Reader on System” is set to Yes, and a given POS station does not have the fingerprint driver installed, then the signon screens indicates this.
If option 2303 “POS 2.0 Biometric Fingerprint Reader on System” is set to Yes, and a given POS station does have the fingerprint driver installed but the device is not detected, then the signon screens will indicate so:
