Inventory Balancing Report (RIB)

(Stock Transfer Balancing users only)

Run the Inventory Balancing Report (RIB) by store so that the system can identify items that are understocked in a particular store and then look at other stores to determine if there is any overstock available. The other stores are checked in the order in which you enter them. Then, based upon a set of rules, the RIB report automatically generates transfer(s) to move the overstock to the understocked store. Seasonal items (items with a PO Season Code) are only checked for an understocked situation if they are in season.

If you select to "Create Pending Transfers," you can review the data selected for transfer using the Pending Transfer Viewer. If you select to "Finalize Inventory Balancing," the system automatically creates an official transfer (with status R-request).

  1. From the Eagle Browser, type RIB in the Launch bar and press Enter. The Inventory Balancing Report window displays.

  2. From the Print Setup page, review the default entries in the fields and make changes if needed.

  3. Use the left pane to display the various pages of the report. Fill in the appropriate fields.

Tip: You can manually split up the transfer quantity between two or more overstocked stores if you use Overstock Option T “Create Pending Transfers for all Overstocks.” For example, if RIB indicates that the first store has enough quantity of an item to fulfill the transfer, but you'd rather get some of the transfer quantity from another store(s), then in the Pending Transfer Viewer you could lower the Transfer Qty in the first store, and then increase the Transfer Qty in another store(s).

  1. Click Run if you are running this report now, or click Queue (F7) if you are adding this report to a queue. For more information about creating queues, click here.
