Printing logic is based on the type of transaction being printed (i.e., Order, Invoice, etc.), and uses the following sequence:
If the customer has a printing plan assigned for the type of transaction in Customer Maintenance (MCR), it overrides all other POS print settings for the type of transaction.
If the customer does not have a printing plan assigned for the type of transaction in Customer Maintenance (MCR), and option 7734 “Print Delivery Instructions and Custom Printing Plan” has a Printing Plan assigned for the type of transaction, it overrides POS printing defined in Device configuration for the type of transaction.
If the customer does not have a printing plan assigned for the type of transaction in Customer Maintenance (MCR), and option 7734 “Print Delivery Instructions and Custom Printing Plan” does not have a Printing Plan assigned for the type of transaction, then POS printing is defined through Device Configuration.
Central Order Desk terminals require Printing Plans to be assigned for each store and for all transaction types.
If the Central Order Desk store is assigned to a Printing Plan for the type of transaction, the assigned Central Order Desk Printer Plan controls POS printing.
If the Central Order Desk store is not assigned to a Printing Plan for the type of transaction, the default printer in Device Configuration is used for POS printing.
