Set to Yes to allow the clerk to enter the list price cost formula in the Cost field in POS posting. Otherwise set to No.
The formula is "Lnnnnn.nn-nn.nn%" The L tells the system what is being entered is a list price formula. The next parameter is the list price (the nnn.nn). The next parameter is the discount percentage (-nn.nn%).
For example entering "L 100.00 -40%" will yield a cost of 60.00.
Also refer to Option 8451 "Pricing Codes can be entered in Price field" which when enabled will allow you to do the following:
Enter "G26%" in the Price field and enter "L 100.00 -40%" in the Cost field. Once you press Enter to post this item the system will first calculate the cost which will be $60.00 (100 * .60) and then calculate the price of $81.08 (60.00 / .74).
