Style-Color-Size: Style Summary Viewer (SSV)

The Style Summary Viewer (SSV) shows one line for every style, and shows individual items that are not part of a style. It does not show individual Style Members. The purpose of the viewer is to provide you with an overview of your Styles, without all the detail from Inventory Maintenance. Thus, while a class with 10 Styles that have 50 items each displays 550 lines in the Inventory Viewer (Style Items + Style Members), the Style Summary Viewer displays only 10 lines, one line per Style.

The Style Summary Viewer (SSV) indicates the highest and lowest retail within a Style group. It also shows the number of Style Members, the total quantity available, and average value / cost information for the Style. For detailed information about the fields that are unique to the SSV, click here.

  1. From the Inventory Maintenance window, type SSV in the Launch bar and press Enter. Alternatively, you can click Misc, select 7-Attribute Tools, and then select S-Style Summary Viewer. You can also access this viewer from the Inventory Viewer.
  2. Use Lookup to select which lookup you want to use--for example, “Department.” Then, select a Department and Store in the corresponding fields. In the Include All Items field, enter Y to show all items, or enter N to display Style Items only. In the "Summary for" field, select what stores you want included in the Summary information. The summary includes all quantitative fields such as “Qty On Hand” or “Committed Qty,” and all High/Low fields such as “Retail High” or “Retail Low.”
  3. When finished filling in the criteria above the grid, press Enter to display the results in the grid.
