Style-Color-Size: Style Summary Viewer

The Style Summary Viewer (SSV) shows one line for every style, and shows individual items that are not part of a style. It does not show individual Style Members. The purpose of the viewer is to provide you with an overview of your Styles, without all the detail from Inventory Maintenance. Thus, while a class with 10 Styles that have 50 items each displays 550 lines in the Inventory Viewer (Style Items + Style Members), the Style Summary Viewer displays only 10 lines, one line per Style.

The Style Summary Viewer (SSV) indicates the highest and lowest retail within a Style group. It also shows the number of Style Members, the total quantity available, and average value / cost information for the Style. SKU – Shows the Style and the SKU of every item that is not part of a style, and shows the style item SKU to represent that entire Style. Style Members are never shown.

Has Attr – Shows if a line represents a single item (“N”) or an entire Style Group (“S”).

All Qty Fields – These fields represent the total Qty (On Hand, On Order, Committed, Available) for individual items, or in the case of lines that represent a style, for the entire style. If ALL stores or a group of stores is chosen, it shows the total quantity for that style or item within all stores in that group.

Mfg Part#, Primary Vendor, Discontinued, Department, Class, Fineline: For lines that represent a Style, this field represents the value of that field for the Style Item itself. It does not look at the members.

Member Count – For lines representing a Style, this line shows the number of members in that are part of that style. This count does not include the Style Item itself. For non style lines, this field is blank.

Price and Cost Fields Hi/Low – For every Price and Cost field there is a “High” and a “Low” column available. For lines that represent a style, these columns indicate the highest and the lowest value for that field within the entire style, across the selected store(s)

Average cost and Value fields –

Style Avg Cost -The average of the average cost of each individual Style Member. Does not take Qty On Hand into account.

Style Value at Avg Cost - Shows the total value of all style members combined.

Style Unit Value at Avg Cost - weighted Average unit Cost of each unit that has Quantity on Hand (positive OR negative). In other words, absolute value divided by absolute units.

The example below shows the Average Cost and Qty On Hand for the members of Style AVGTEST. Below that it shows the values of the different Avg fields and the calculation used to arrive at those values.
