You should know that the system handles True Value Rewards Club (TVR) promotions and non-TVR promotions differently in some ways. The differences are:
The Promo Sales Code field in the Codes screen of the Inventory file is updated with L (loyalty) when a TVR promotion is activated.
Unlike other promotions, the TVR promotion price is not displayed in the Promotion Price field in Inventory. See the topic "Identifying TVR Promotional Items" for how to display the TVR promotion price.
Item promotional history for the last three promotions that displays in Inventory Maintenance and in POS, is not updated when the TVR promotion is deactivated. You can, however, print the Promotion Item Report (RPM) for information about the promotion before deactivating it.
The TVR promotion price displays only for TVR customers. When you display a TVR item in POS before posting it, the TVR promotion price is displayed in the Price field if you are selling to a TVR customer with an assigned TVR ID number. If you have not yet linked the TVR ID number to the customer and you display the item, the TVR promotion price will not display until you do so.
When you are selling to a TVR customer, the TVR promotion price is included when the system searches for the best price. If the item is on a TVR promotion and a non-TVR promotion at the same time, best pricing reviews both promotion prices in its search.
