You must have the following option and security bits set up before you
can begin using Part
Lists.
Set Up Option 9585
Option 9585 "Inventory Part
Lists Enabled" must be set to Yes in order to use the Part
Lists feature.
Set Up Security Bits
Set up the following security bits for Part
Lists.
Bit 954 "Ability
to access Part
List MaintenanceControls
the ability to access the Item List Maintenance window, which is used
to create and maintain lists of inventory items for various uses.
"
Bit 960 "Ability
to change part
lists created by another userControls the ability to change an Item List created
by another user. "Change" refers to: deleting times from a list,
deleting a list, and renaming a list. "
Bit 962 "Ability
to add parts
to a list created by another userControls the ability to add an item to an Item
List created by another user. Use this bit along with bit 960 "Ability
to change Item Lists created by another user" to cover these scenarios:
1. Want user to be able to view and change Item Lists created by another
user (all aspects of change, including adding item, deleting item, deleting
list, and renaming list). Set bit 960 to Yes and set this bit (962) to
Yes.
2. Want user to be able to view and change Item Lists created by
another user, except no ability to add items to the list. set bit 960
to Yes and set this bit (962) to No.
3. Want the user to be able to view all Item Lists, but can only change
those lists they created. Set both bit 960 and this bit (962) to No.
Note: this bit and bit 960 only apply to changing Item Lists in the Item
List Maintenance window. They do not apply, for example, to making changes/additions
to Item Lists used in the Eagle Mobile applications.
