Use the Notes tab in the Customer Maintenance window to enter a message for the customer account.
To use the procedure below, you must have the following security bits:
Bit 236 "Access the Notes tab of Inventory, Customer, and Vendor Maintenance"
Bit 309 "Add/Change/Delete notes on the Notes tab of Inventory, Customer, and Vendor Maintenance."
The message you enter on the Notes tab can also be set up to display at POS. Messages like these are useful to
Record credit message information about the customer account.
Display messages at POS that your clerks can relay to the customer.
Remind your clerks about special procedures to follow for the customer account.
Display the customer that this message applies to.
Click the Notes tab.
In the Type list, click 6 or 7.
In the Message box, enter the notes you want to keep for this customer.
Click Add.
The Note Group box is always the same as the Customer number.
You can enter one Type 6 and one Type 7 message for each customer account.
To add a new line to the message, press Ctrl+Enter.
