You can set up payment options to be used when entering received on account payments. To display the Received on Account Options dialog, go to the Tools menu and click Options. This dialog is available from the Received On Account window.
Review this dialog before entering payments. You can set the options so that they apply to a group of payments before you enter the payments. This can save you time when posting that group of payments.
From the Tools menu, click Options. The Received on Account Options dialog displays.
The fields in the top half of the dialog apply to all account types (balance forward and open item). Set up the fields to meet your business needs. For additional information about the fields on the right side of the dialog, point your mouse at a field and a definition will display on the screen.
The fields on the bottom half of the screen apply to open item accounts only. Set up the fields to meet your business needs. For additional information about a field, point your mouse at the field and a definition will display on the screen.
Click OK.
If you display any of the warnings (past due, charge not allowed, or over credit limit), the message is just a reminder. You can still post a payment to the account.
