Trade Discount %

This field is on the Main tab of the Customer Maintenance window.

Trade Discount Percent.

This is the trade discount percent this account receives on each sale.

The system calculates the trade discount at the end of each sale and subtracts the amount from the total.

In POS, you can override the trade discount.

This field is numeric. You can enter up to three numbers plus a decimal point. For example, to give a 10.5% trade discount, type 10.5. You cannot give more than a 99.9% trade discount.

If this is a transfer account, keep the following in mind.

• This field and the Std Sell Price field determine how much the store is charged if it pays for transferred merchandise.

• This field and the Std Sell Price field determine the dollar amount of the update to the From-Store's sales history (if any of your stores update sales history).

• When you create a transfer, you can override this field.

• If you transfer merchandise to this store at cost, leave this field blank and enter C at Std Sell Price.

• If you transfer merchandise to this store at a percentage off retail, enter the percentage here, and enter R at Std Sell Price.
