Use Order Balance in Credit Available.
(Pick/Pack/Ship / Customer Order Management users only)
This field on the Credit tab of Customer Maintenance works in conjunction with the overall option "Use 'Order Balance in credit Available' feature" and the option "Default for customer's Use Order Balance in Credit Avail Flag" to determine whether or not order balance reduces the amount of credit an account has available. This field defaults to "blank," which tells the system to use the default setting established in Options Configuration.
To use this feature, you must first set the option ""Use 'Order Balance in credit Available' feature" to Yes in Options Configuration.
If you want to reduce credit available by outstanding order balance for the majority of your customers,simply set the option "Default for customer's Use Order Balance in Credit Avail Flag" to Yes in Options Configuration. Then, for any accounts that are exceptions, enter an N in this field in Customer Maintenance. If you DON'T want to reduce credit available by outstanding order balance for the majority of your customers, simply set the option "Default for customer's Use Order Balance in Credit Avail Flag" to No, and for any accounts that are exceptions, enter a Y in this field in Customer Maintenance.
blank = Use the setting established in the option "Default for customer's Use Order Balance in Credit Avail Flag" in Options Configuration
Y = Yes, order balance reduces credit available
N = No, order balance does not reduce credit available
