This topic describes the logic process that the Epicor Eagle⢠system follows when you sell a pesticide item during a POS transaction.
The system first checks the item to see if it is coded as a pesticide item in the *Tally field in Inventory Maintenance (IMU).
Then the system checks Customer Maintenance (MCR) to see if the customer has a pesticide license, the type of pesticide license, and the license expiration date.
Depending on the item code and the type of pesticide license, the system then checks if the customer is linked to a pesticide plan and if the item is included in that plan. A pesticide plan is a list of restricted pesticide items sellable at POS.
When the system checks the pesticide plan, it checks the categories in the plan in the following order, looking for a match by: 1) SKU , 2) product code, 3) fineline code, 4) class code, 5) department code, 6) primary vendor code, 7) manufacturer vendor code.
The following tables define the logic process for each of the pesticide codes to determine if an item is sellable at POS.

Note: For items coded as D-Dual Use, the system does not check the Customer License type in MCR. In POS a prompt displays that the sale of the item requires a customer signature to indicate non-Farm use. The prompt also prints on the invoice. |
