Configuring the File Transfer Manager

The File Transfer Manager (FTMGR) must be configured before you can begin to email statements or invoices.   

  1. From the Network Access "Function" prompt, type OSPREY and press <Enter>, then type AVATAR and press <Enter> (you must use Network Access to perform this procedure).

  2. At Selection, type FTMGR and press <Enter>.

  3. At "Select Transfer Manager Option," type an M. The word Modify displays.

  4. At Action, type E and press <Enter>. The utility displays the current state of the file transfer manager.

  5. When asked if you want to modify the file transfer manager configuration, type a "Y," and press <Enter>.  

  6. Enter your Epicor customer number when prompted, and press <Enter>.

  7. When prompted for the primary gateway server name or IP address, press <Enter> to accept the default of "ga1.triadinet.com."   

  8. When prompted for the secondary gateway server, press <Enter> to accept the default of "ga2.triadinet.com."

  9. When prompted with the new settings for the File Transfer Manager and asked if you’ve completed your changes, press <Enter> if the new settings look correct.  Otherwise, type an N and press <Enter>, and you will be prompted to re-enter your responses.   

  10. Press <Enter> to enable the file transfer manager.

  11. Press <Enter> again to save the file transfer manager configuration.  

  12. When prompted, press <Enter> to continue.  

  13. At Selection, type SSM and press <Enter>.

  14. Using the Down Arrow key, scroll through the list of managers in SSM until you see the ’File Transfer Manager’ entry.  Verify that the status of the File Transfer Manager is ’Started’.  If it is not started, press <Run> to start it.

  15. Press <End> twice to exit.
