In 2012, Do it Best restructured the way they group their products to help you locate catalog items more quickly and easily. The classifications include new departments, categories (class), and sub-categories (sub-class). In addition, there is also a fourth sub-level, called Product Group.
The following is a comparison of the restructured DIB product classifications and the Eagle terminology.

To use this feature, you must set option 2612 "Use new product classification in Do it Best catalog" to Yes.
Note: While in Catalog you can change between the new and old drilldown for just that session by selecting Tools/Options from the menu bar at the top of the screen, and checking or unchecking the "Use New Dept/Class/Fineline" field.
The Catalog supports the restructured product classifications. Features include:
Ability to Drill down either to quickly review items by categories or to view the classes, finelines, or product groups within departments
When an item detail is displayed in catalog, both the new and the old Do it Best product classifications are displayed
Additional columns in the catalog grid.
Inventory Maintenance displays items’ product classification. Click the Additional Stocking Fields hyperlink on the Stocking tab of Inventory Maintenance. The product classification codes and their descriptions display.
The following additional columns are available in the Catalog List Viewer when option 2612 is set to Yes:
• New Department (Do it Best Department)
• New Class (Do it Best Category)
• New Fineline (Do it Best Sub-Category)
• New Product Group (Do it Best Product Group) Please note – this is the most finite grouping of items available. It will only contain closely related items.
