(Pick/Pack/Ship and Customer Order Management users only)
Selling Codes speed up Order Entry by simplifying the keystrokes required to execute certain tasks, such as marking an item as a Lost Sale, Unusual Sale, Returned Item, etc. To use Selling Codes, you simply place your cursor in the Quantity field, and enter one of the available Selling Codes along with the quantity being sold/returned.
To begin using Selling Codes, you must first set up the following options in Options Configuration.
"Selling Codes can be entered in Quantity field" (ID #5036)
"Display tool tip for selling codes available in the quantity field" (ID #5037)

In Order Entry, enter the SKU of the item you're selling, then press Enter or Tab to place your cursor in the Quantity field.
In the Quantity Field, enter the desired Selling Code, immediately followed by the quantity being sold/returned. Then press Enter to post the item. You can enter more than one Selling Code per line item, where logical (invalid combinations are disallowed, and a warning message displays).
The example below shows a defective exchange (quantity of 1 being exchanged), thus you'd enter X1 in the Quantity field.
Instead of typing the Selling Code in the Quantity field, you can display a list of Selling Codes from which you can select one. To do this, enter an H (Help) in the Quantity field and press Enter. A dialog box displays. Click the checkbox next to the desired Selling Code, and press Enter. Then enter the quantity being sold/returned, and press Enter.
