The Professional Estimating Import application on the Eagle system works in conjunction with a productivity product called Professional Estimating (PE). First, you use the PE system to simply generate a material item list, or you can generate a material list complete with pricing (a quote). You then export the material list/quote to your Eagle system using the Eagle's Professional Estimating Import application. If prices come over as zeros, that means all or some of the items on the incoming material list/quote did not have pricing. However, you can use the Reprice feature in Eagle POS to add prices for every item on the quote that exists in your Inventory file.
When you create a material list or quote in PE, you place the material list/quote in a particular folder on your PC. The default folder is located at C:\Program Files\professional estimating\files\, but you can indicate a different folder if desired.
