Use the following procedure to delete lines from a financial statement layout.
Display the Financial Statement Layouts window in the General Ledger application.
Display the layout from which you want to delete one or more lines.
Click in the checkbox(es) next to the line(s) you want to delete. (Note: you can also use the down-arrow key and spacebar to place or remove checkmarks)
Click Delete.
If you press Delete and you forgot to click the checkboxes of the lines you want to delete, the warning "Are you sure you want to delete the entire layout?" displays. If you answer Yes, another message is displayed: "You have asked to delete the entire layout for this financial statement. This could mean that you will spend many hours re-creating this information. If you answer ’Yes’, you will delete the entire layout, including all of the detail lines. Are you sure you want to delete the entire layout?" Answering Yes again will delete the entire layout.
