Use the following procedure if you need to move a line up or down in relation to the other lines on a financial statement layout.
Display the Financial Statement Layouts window in the General Ledger application.
Display the layout on which you want to move a line.
Click Misc.
Click Change Sequence Number. The Change Sequence Number dialog box displays.
In the Old Sequence Number box, enter the sequence number of the line you want to move.
In the New Sequence Number box, enter a sequence number to re-position the line where you want it.
Note: you must type a sequence number that does not already exist. For example, let's say the existing sequence numbers on the layout are incremented by 10. If the sequence number of the line you want to move is 20, and you want to move it between sequence numbers 60 and 70, enter 65 (actually, you could enter any number between 60 and 70, but 65 is a logical choice in case you decide to move other lines to that same area).
Click OK.
