Welcome to Epicor Eagle™ General Ledger for Windows. At the most basic level, General Ledger can be defined as a means to track up-to-the-minute financial information about your business. But your General Ledger application includes much more than that. It provides all of the following:
Generates reports about the results of business activity
Provides information about profitability
Helps you maintain accurate records of all transactions
Produces financial statements (Balance Sheet, Profit and Loss Statement, Cash Flow Report, Statement of Changes in Financial Position, and Components of Working Capital)
Provides comparative information to help you see the financial effects of decisions
In addition to the classic General Ledger functions and reports that you can access from the Main Menu, you also have available General Ledger for Windows.
The easy-to-use online help system can assist you in finding out what you need to know about the General Ledger application. Look at the list of books on the left side of your screen. Inside the General Ledger book you'll find other books with information topics. Double-click a book to open or close it. The topic list displays when a book is open. Double-click a topic to display it on your screen.
To learn more about the online help system, open the Using Help and Other Training Resources book and then open the Using Online Help book. Read the topics in that book and you will find out more about navigating the online help system.
To start setting up the General Ledger application, open the Setting Up General Ledger book and read the topics in that book.
