QuickFind is the POS online price book. When posting items on the POS screen, QuickFind allows you to easily locate the SKU number for items that are not normally tagged with a SKU or bar code (such as PVC pipe). You set up items to display in a QuickFind grid and there are two types of grids you can create.
Image— An image grid displays up to fifteen images of your items at a time. Image data is stored on one PC. Images are available to other PCs if the data is shared and the other PCs are mapped to the PC storing the images.
Text— A text grid displays item SKU numbers. The grid can be set up with the item numbers in column, row, or column and row format. Six columns are available per grid. Eight rows are available per page. Unlimited pages of rows are available per grid. Text data is stored on the Eagle system, so it is available to all terminals.
You supply your own images, from media such as scanners, digital cameras, the Internet, etc.
The image file type must be bitmap (.BMP), CompuServe GIF (.GIF), JPEG (.JPG), or Windows Metafile (.WMF).
The image file must be a predefined size of 116 pixels wide ´ 87 pixels high.
For stand-alone PCs, the image files must reside on your hard disk in C:\3apps\userdata\. For a network master/client setup, the image files must reside on the hard disk of the network master in the C:\3net\userdata\ directory.
When setting up the QuickFind text grid, you must enter the exact name of the image (such as cement.bmp) on the image server.
Function RCIN (Change Item Number) does not update the QuickFind application.
