This topic describes system requirements and setup for Training Mode. Review this topic and make any required changes to your system before using the Training Mode.
To use the Training Mode, set option 70 "Training mode available on system" to Yes in Options Configuration.
In Security Maintenance (MSE), assign the appropriate Training Mode security bits to your employees. For more information about setting up security, refer to the online help topics. The following security bits apply to the Training Mode:
Option 101 "POS In Training? must be set to N (No) for the terminal before you enter Training Mode. If this option is set to Yes, then POS transactions that you complete in Training Mode are not saved.
During an Install or Refresh of the Training Mode, the system checks if there is sufficient disk space for the training mode data files. If there is insufficient space, a message displays.
