Terminal Setup

(iNet 1.0 users only)

Three different types of terminal setups are required to prepare your Epicor Eagleā„¢ system to run iNet 1.0 applications: A network terminal assignment, a standard terminal assignment, and an NEX assignment.

Network Terminal Assignment

To allow your customer's PC to request information from your Eagle via the Internet, a Network Terminal Assignment (Function NTA) must be set up on your system. NTA is accessible only through Osprey. Your Field Engineer will set up the NTA record for you.

Standard Terminal Assignment

You must create a terminal record in the Options Configuration window (or in Function MTR via Network Access) that will represent the iNet terminal through which your customers will access your system. Typically you will use terminal 901. When your customers use an iNet application, such as OrderPro, the application will follow the invoice printer and form type settings that you established for that terminal.

Multistore: The terminal you set up in Options Configuration (or Function MTR) should have the Lockin Store field set to "1" for store 1.

NEX Assignment

Epicor Software Corporationā„¢ recommends that you set up a record in Inventory Next and Attribute Selection (Function NEX) for the terminal you set up in Options Configuration (or Function MTR).
