(iNet 1.0 users only)
Item images display in the iNet application when a user chooses to view the details of an item. The following are the specific requirements for item images:
Size (pixels) - Currently there are no specific pixel size requirements for iNet item images. However, you should size the images so the appropriate level of detail is readable, while also leaving enough room on the page for text. A good "rule of thumb" for size is to stay at or below 320 x 240 for large and medium-sized images and to never exceed 640 x 480.
Resolution - Image resolution should be set to 72 dpi at 100% viewing size. Note that stretching images out beyond 100% size will distort them, while condensing them below 100% won't improve the image.
File Types - iNet supports both GIF and JPEG (JPG) images. Epicor Software Corporation™ recommends using JPG images exclusively because they are normally smaller than GIF images but are generally of equal or better quality when compared by size. Smaller images translate to a better experience for your users.
Naming Convention- Custom item images must adhere to the following naming convention: "g" followed by the item number with the appropriate file extension. For example, an item image for SKU "12345" should be named "g12345.jpg" if you are using JPEG images or "g12345.gif" if you are using GIF images. Image files that do not adhere to these naming conventions will not display in iNet applications.
