Looking Up Substitute Items in the True Value Catalog

(True Value members with the Electronic Catalog only)

Use the following procedure to view a discontinued item's substitute or referral item while in Inventory Maintenance. This information comes from the catalog, so your catalog must be up-to-date to see the most recent information. Note that there may be some items that are discontinued at True Value that may not have a designated substitute/referral item.  

1. Display the Inventory Maintenance window.
2. With the item displayed, do one of the following:

• From the Codes tab, click the Discontinued hyperlink (blue underlined text)

or

• Press "-" (the minus sign) on the keypad, then select Substitute/Referral SKU.

If the item has a substitute or referral item, the substitute/referral displays in the catalog.
