This is the third rounding rules area of the Price Rounding table (PRO). If the system does not find a match using Rule 1, it uses this area of the table to determine what to round the cent value to.
For example: One of the lines of your Price Rounding table is set up as follows:
If you have an item with a cost of $2.43 and a desired gross margin of 50%, the system would calculate a retail price of $4.86 without price rounding. Using the table, the system determines that the cents value of .86 is not less than .09, so it will not use Rule 1.
The cent value of .86 is not a multiple of ten, so it will not use Rule 2. That leaves the Rule 3 area of the table. The system rounds the cent value of .86 up to .99 based on the table.
You can have up to 30 ranges for rounding the cents. Use as many as you need to set up your price rounding scheme.
Note: The system will automatically re-sort the table if you add a new range which falls between existing ranges. There is no need to delete the higher ranges before adding the new interim range, and then having to re-add the higher ranges. This also applies when Changing or Deleting a range.
