Set Up Options

To use the Cash Drawer Locking feature, you must set up the relevant options on your Eagle system.

  1. Display the Options Configuration window.

  2. Click ID. Using the list below, enter the ID number of the option, and click OK. Click in the Current Value column, select the appropriate setting, and click Change. Repeat this process for all options in the list.

B=Credit Card
C=Charge
K=Check
1=Alt Tender 1
2=Alt Tender 2
3=Alt Tender 3
4=Alt Tender 4
5=Alt Tender 5
6=Alt Tender 6
7=Alt Tender 7
8=Alt Tender 8
9=Alt Tender 9
A=Alt Tender 10

Note:  If the clerk has security bit 595 “Ability to access cash drawer set to No, it takes precedence over option 9800. No matter what is entered in option 9800, if bit 595 is No the clerk will only be allowed to create a transaction for a charge customer.  (This is bit 595=No’s current behavior.) Warning: Do not set this option to blank. If you do, then in the above situations, the clerk will have no tender choices when they press <Total>. Their only choice will be to Void the transaction.
