Adding and Linking Customer to Program at Point of Sale

Always ask the customers at point of sale:

When setting up in QuickAdd, you must have a default customer, with T in account codes. If this is multistore and you want to track where loyalty customer is added, you must have separate default customer for each store. Keep in mind that this is terminal based, so you will have to do set up on each terminal.

Add Loyalty Customer

  1. On the Customer Maintenance window at Point of Sale, in the Customer field, click the Misc. Menu.

  2. Enter customer information making sure to enter the loyalty card number.

  3. Click Add.

  4. Complete the sale.

 

What About Gift Cards?

The stored credit card feature allows you to link an In-Store Gift Card to your Loyalty Customer. This is a combination card that tracks loyalty
customer AND can be used as a gift card. Loyalty number and card number do not have to be related in any way, but both are linked to same customer. The mag stripe contains gift card info and the barcode is the loyalty account number.

The point-of sale clerk can add Loyalty and Gift Card numbers in the QuickAdd feature. Just make sure they scan the loyalty number from the card if they will use the same card as a gift card. Once scanned, the cursor automatically goes to the gift card field.

You can swipe the gift card through signature capture pad to populate gift card field with bin code info from mag stripe. This info goes into MCR.

Your manager may want to monitor daily  to make sure gift cards are swiped. Otherwise customer will not get their points on a gift card.
