Deleting In-Store Gift Cards with No Activity

You must have security bit 874 to delete an in-store gift card with no activity. You can delete cards one at a time only. Deleting a card can be used in place of “Void Activation” from POS. This delete process affects neither general ledger nor the POS terminal’s balance, and may also be used if Gift Card import was run incorrectly. If you accidentally delete a valid card, you can re-activate it using the manual activation procedure at POS.

1. Display the In-Store Gift Card ViewerFrom the Eagle Browser, click Accounts Receivable Menu, then click Gift Card Viewer. Alternatively, you can type GCV in the Launch bar and press Enter.

2. In the Card Number field, type the number for the gift card, then press Enter or find the gift card in the grid and select it. You can also look up in-store gift cards by authorization code, completion date range, and transaction date.

3. In the grid, select the information you want to delete.

4. Click Delete.
