Creating an Order from a Bid

After you change an estimate/quote to a bid, create orders from it using the following procedure.

To create an order from a bid

1. Display the Order Entry/POS Header Screen

   Header Screen and Posting Screen

   There are two Order Entry/POS screens:  the Header screen and the Posting screen.  The Header screen contains information such as the account number, job number, ship-to address, etc. The Posting screen is where you actually enter items. Depending on how your system is set up, the Header screen or Posting screen may display first.  From the Posting screen, click Customer and then click Header to display the Header screen.  From the Header screen, click Post to display the Posting screen.

2. Display the bid.

3. Press post.

4. From the Recalled Bid dialog box, press 1. (Click here if this option is not available)

5. Change or fill in any applicable boxes. Do not type a number in the Order # box. The system assigns a number to the transaction when you finish it.

6. Press post.

7. On the Posting Screen, press menu.

8. On the Select Items for this Order menu, select an option.

9. Press total.

10. On the Finish Order menu, select an option to complete the transaction. If selected line items include subtotals, save and recall the order to allow for proper subtotal calculations before printing.

This feature is unavailable with Classic POS.
