You can have up to four POS sessions running simultaneously on an Eagle for Windows station. Note that you can only use retail devices (receipt printer, scanner, etc) in the first session. The word "Alternate" will be displayed repeatedly in the background of the additional sessions to distinguish them from the first session.
In the Osprey function "NTA," the first POS session uses the terminal number listed in the "Eagle for Windows Terminal" field, which is also typically the first terminal listed in the Network Terminal Numbers field. The second session uses the first Network Terminal Number that isn't listed in the "Eagle for Windows Terminal" field. The third and fourth sessions use the next two Network Terminal Numbers. Thus, each session has its own terminal number, and all four terminal numbers must be set up in Options Configuration (or Function MTR).
When using multiple POS sessions, in the keystroke log, all Eagle for Windows POS sessions (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc.) are recorded to POS17a.3kl, and all Eagle N Series POS sessions are recorded to n_POS17a.3kl.
If you don't want to allow more than one session, do not set up multiple terminal numbers in NTA for that station.
From the Eagle Browser, click Point of Sale Multi- Session.
Proceed as you normally would in POS. Keep in mind that you can not use retail devices (receipt printer, barcode scanner, etc) in this session.
