To use Over the Counter Controlled Substance Tracking, the following system option must be enabled on your system.
ID# 9421 "Over the Counter Controlled Substance Tracking on System". This option must be set to Yes by an Epicor representative.
Set up the following application options that are related to the Over the Counter Controlled Substance Tracking feature.
ID# 1630 "Over the Counter Controlled Substance Type Table". The name of the default table is OTC Controlled Substance Type. The table is assigned here, but the actual tables are Created and Maintained in function CST, Misc Menu, Rx Type Maintenance. This can be set to System or Store Domain.
ID# 9422 "Over the Counter Controlled Substance Tracking Enabled." With Pseudoephedrine tracking enabled on the system, this option determines if the tracking process is to occur when there is a sale of a pseudoephedrine item in POS. If this option is set to No, then pseudoephedrine tracking is not enabled at either the system or store level. Unlimited purchases in POS may be made by any customer.
ID# 9423 "Daily Maximum Total of Pseudoephedrine Purchase Allowed." This option indicates the maximum grams of pseudoephedrine a customer may purchase a day. A blank value means pseudoephedrine sales are not tracked by this time period.
ID# 9424 "Weekly Maximum Total of Pseudoephedrine Purchase Allowed." This option indicates the maximum grams of pseudoephedrine a customer may purchase in a week. A blank value means pseudoephedrine sales are not tracked by this time period.
ID# 9425 "Monthly Maximum Total of Pseudoephedrine Purchase Allowed." This option determines the time period POS uses when calculating total pseudoephedrine purchases for a given day. When set to “S,” POS looks at transactions for a given date between 12:00 AM and 11:59 PM to calculate the total purchases. When set to “L,” POS uses transactions found within the past 24 hours for this calculation.
ID# 9427 "Days to keep Pseudoephedrine Logs." This option determines how long pseudoephedrine log records are kept before purging.
ID# 9428 "Add/Change Pseudoephedrine Tracking ID Type." Use this option to add, change, or delete ID types that customers present when purchasing a product containing pseudoephedrine. This option is used by the Pseudoephedrine tracking application to categorize the identification type used by the customer, and is recorded in the pseudoephedrine tracking file with other customer information.
