Edit/Finalize Receiving Documents

(Advanced Receiving users only)

Use the Receiving Documents Report (RRV) to print an edit list of the changes you posted to a receiving document. The report prints up to three lines of information for each adjusted item. The first line is the old information. The second line is the new information and represents what the values will be once you finalize the receiving document. The third line prints when a negative value exists.

Before you can run RRV for a receiving document, its status must be R. An R status receiving document indicates that a change has been posted in the Modify Receiving Documents (MRV) window. Once you have reviewed the edit list and made any necessary changes in MRV, you'll run the RRV report again with Update Option F to finalize the receiving report.

Printing an Edit List

  1. From the Modify Receiving Documents window, click RRV. (Note: there are several other ways to access RRV.)

  2. From the   page, review the default entries in the fields and make changes if needed. For a definition of each field, click here.

  3. Do not select any options on the page.

  4. Click . On this page, fill in the fields in the top half of the page as necessary. Then in the bottom half of the page, in the PO Number field, select the PO number from the drop-down list in both the from and the to fields. If you use sequence numbers, enter the sequence number in both the from and to PO No Seq fields. For a definition of each field on this page, click here.

  5. (Optional) Click . If you are faxing the report, fill in the fields on this page. For a definition of each field on this page, click here.

  6. Click Run to process the report.

Finalizing a Receiving Document

To update your Eagle system, you must finalize the receiving document with Report RRV.

  1. From the Modify Receiving Documents window, click RRV. (Note: there are several other ways to access RRV.)

  2. From the   page, review the default entries in the fields and make changes if needed. For a definition of each field, click here.

  3. From the page, select option F and any other options you want to use. For more information about the options, click here.

  4. Click . On this page, fill in the fields in the top half of the page as necessary. Then in the bottom half of the page, in the PO Number field, select the PO number from the drop-down list in both the from and the to fields. If you use sequence numbers, enter the sequence number in both the from and to PO No Seq fields. For a definition of each field on this page, click here.

  5. (Optional) Click . If you are faxing the report, fill in the fields on this page. For a definition of each field on this page, click here.

  6. Click Run to process the report.

The information finalizes and the receiving document status changes from R to blank.

  1. Run APP (Purchasing to A/P Passoff) to update the New A/P Transactions (ATMU) window with the changes from the RRV.
