Setting Up the PO Exception Option

There is a single option in Options Configuration that controls the "PO Exception Indicator" feature.  This option controls whether or not PO exceptions are determined/displayed when you click Post from the PO Header screen, such as when you've just imported a PO from a handheld device, and you now want to review the entire PO for exceptions.

Exceptions are ALWAYS displayed when adding items. This option has no impact on whether or not exceptions display while adding items to the PO.

If this option is set to Yes, it can impact the amount of time it takes to load the grid on a large PO. Therefore, you may want to set this option to No for most users, but set it to Yes for the purchasing clerk(s) that will be checking for PO exceptions.

  1. Display the Options Configuration window.

  2. Click ID. In the dialog box that displays, type 2835 in the Option ID field, and press Enter. The option "Display PO Exceptions when recalling and displaying a PO" displays.

  3. If you want to assign this option by user or terminal (i.e. if you only want to set this option to Yes for a specific user or terminal, rather than Yes for the entire system), change the Kept By Method to user or terminal.

  4. In the Current Value column, select Yes or No.

  5. Click Change.
