Setting Up Terminal-Specific POS Options

Use the following procedure to set up the terminal-specific options that govern how the Point-of-Sale (POS) application works. These options are referred to as "terminal-specific" because they can vary from terminal to terminal.

Setting Up Terminal-Specific POS Options

  1. Display the Options Configuration window.

  2. Click the arrow to the right of the Subsystem box and select POS from the drop-down list.

  3. Click the arrow to the right of the Options box and select Terminal Options from the drop-down list.

  4. In the Terminal box, enter the terminal number you want to set up.

  5. Click Display. All of the Point-of-Sale options for the terminal you specified display in the grid.

  6. Click in the Current Value column of the first item in the grid.

  7. Click the arrow that displays.

  8. Select your response in the window that displays, and press ENTER.

  9. Repeat steps 6 through 8 for the rest of the items in the grid.

    Note: For any items in the grid that cannot be changed, "No" displays in the "Edit?" column.

  1. Repeat steps 4 through 10 until you have set up the POS options for all the other terminals in your store(s).
