The SHOWLOG utility viewer allows you to view the various log files that are stored by your Eagle system. These logs are particularly useful for troubleshooting.
From the Eagle Browser, type SHOWLOG in the launch bar, and press Enter.
To display a particular log, double click it. Alternatively, you can click the log so that it is highlighted, and then click Display on the toolbar.
If desired, you can sort, filter, or print the log.
The following functions are available in the toolbar:
Close (ESC) = Closes the SHOWLOG utility.
Print (F2) or (Cntl + P) = Allows you to print the grid shown.
Find (F4) = Searches for words or phrases in the log file.
Find Next (F5) = Finds multiple iterations of a word or phrase. Find Next searches only forward, but loops back to the beginning when it reaches the bottom of the log.
Zoom (F6) = Opens the details of the log (or click on the log listing to display). To refresh log details, close and reopen the screen.
Next (F7) = Opens the next log in the list.
Previous (F8) = Opens the previous log in the list.
Go To (Ctrl+G) = Allows you to select a page to go to.
Misc (kPad -) = Option to preserve sorts, filters, and inserted columns.
Refresh (KPad +) = Refreshes the information on the screen.
Max-Res (F11) = Not available at this time.
Clear (F12) = Not available at this time.
Help (F1) = Opens Eagle Help topics.
All options on the toolbar are also available in the Misc. Menu, along with additional options for exporting the data to other formats.
A few logs have shortcuts so that you can display them directly without having to enter SHOWLOG. To display either of these logs, type its shortcut in the Eagle Browser launch bar and press Enter:
REPQMSG (Report Queue Manager Log)
ASYMSG (Async Transmission Log report viewer)
If you prefer to view the Network Access version of Showlog, enter NASHOWLOG in the Eagle Browser launch bar, and press Enter.
